Ph.D. students wishing to use Modern Irish as one of their required reading languages should consult with their advisors as to which of the following will fulfil the requirement: NYU Language Test,  Lehman College’s IRI 205, or 9-12 credits of Modern Irish at any of the local colleges.

Ph.D. students in Medieval Studies wishing to use Old Irish as one of their required reading languages should enroll in Old Irish at the CUNY Graduate Center. The course is open to all students of the Medieval Studies NYC Consortium which includes the programs at CUNY Graduate Center, Columbia University, Fordham University, and New York University.
